The p(χ2) reports the probability of observing the χ2 value on the given degrees of freedom (df) where df = G-1 and G is the number of proficiency groups applied in the formal test of fit. The thresholds indicate the location of the items along the latent continuum, covering the latent trait from approximately −3.7 to + 3.7 logits. The rounded average of the five thresholds are approximately − 3, − 2, − 0, 2 and 3 logits respectively
